2008 Young Innovators Under 35

Since 1999, the editors of Technology Review have honored the young innovators whose inventions and research we find most exciting; today that collection is the TR35, a list of technologists and scientists, all under the age of 35. Their work--spanning medicine, computing, communications, electronics, nanotechnology, and more--is changing our world.

2008 Innovator of the Year: JB Straubel
2008 Humanitarian of the Year: Aimée Rose

Technology Review is proud to present 2008’s TR35 winners in Adobe’s newest version of its Portable Document Format (PDF). The profiles were created in Adobe Acrobat 9, and with Adobe Reader 9 you can read the TR35 profiles, and view photos, videos, infographics, and animations in a multimedia PDF Portfolio. In many cases two PDFs have been created: the first version is a lightweight download that will stream multimedia files from the Web; the second version will download the PDF and its associated, large multimedia files to your computer. Click here for installation of Adobe Reader 9 and navigation assistance with the PDF Portfolios.
